David is particularly well-known in the maritime, transportation, and industrial sectors, where he has handled high-stakes litigation in both state and federal courts. His experience includes cases involving chemical exposures, vessel explosions, catastrophic collisions, motor vehicle accidents, and wrongful death. Notably, David played a key role in defending a chemical exposure case involving more than 20,000 claimants and has handled matters arising from major industrial and transportation incidents.
What sets David apart is his real-world experience. Before becoming a lawyer, he worked for contractors in refineries and spent years working aboard towboats and ships for a major vessel owner and operator. While in law school, he worked as a tankerman handling cargo operations on barges in the Baton Rouge area. This hands-on background provides David with a practical understanding of how accidents occur and how companies attempt to avoid responsibility afterward.
David graduated from the Texas A&M Maritime Academy in Galveston in 1994. After working in the marine transportation industry in Louisiana, he obtained his law degree from Louisiana State University in 2001. He is licensed to practice law in Texas and Louisiana and is admitted to the United States District Courts in both states.
